Kayla
After 10 years in braces, and going through many extensive dental treatments and surgeries, Kayla realized her dentist gave her more than a beautiful smile – he gave her a kind of confidence that would last a lifetime.
During Kayla's junior year of high school, in the Cocalico school district, she decided to pursue dentistry as her career track, only hoping to touch people's lives as her dentist and his staff had once touched hers.
After graduation, Kayla attended Lancaster County Career and Technology Center in Willowstreet, to achieve a dental assisting certificate. In 2006 she graduated in the top of her class, and also passed her Radiology boards making her certified to perform x-rays.
She went to work in a general dentist's office, only to find the practice was too large for her liking. Kayla wanted a more personal relationship with her patients, and with the constant running from chair to chair, that was impossible. After working there for a year, she found another job at a prosthodontic office in Lititz, where the pace was slower, and more personable. Unfortunately, the doctor relocated, and Kayla had to find another job in an atmosphere that was comfortable and small, yet with impeccable dentistry.
Kayla started as Dr. Parker's receptionist in February of 2008, and absolutely loves it. The office is small, cozy, and very welcoming. The staff is extremely nice and the dentistry is unprecedented. She hopes to stay with Dr. Parker for years to come.
